Parimal परिमल

Ancient Sanskrit name Parimal (Sanskrit परिमल) refers to scent fragrance or perfume. Parimal also means soil, stain or dirt.

Reference of Parimal is found in Kavya literature and Panchtantra (पञ्चतन्त्र) where Parimal denotes fragrance, perfume or substance. Parimal is also found to be referred in the Epic Kiratarjuniya (किरातार्जुनीय) in which Parimal refers to copulation or connubial pleasure.
Lexicographers like Hemchandra and Amar Singh have also used this word in their writings soil, stain, dirt or a meeting of learned men. Parimal is also mentioned in Sir Monier-Williams dictionary as the name of a poet.
